Roland Drivers & Windows Updates - No Communication Issue

EGX30a & EGX350, GX24 Win10 & Win11 Security Updates in June 2024 caused problems downloading jobs to Roland Engravers \ Cutters.

 As a valued client, we want to update you about the recent Windows security update issue affecting cutters and engravers. Roland has released a new driver for the following devices that works in harmony with recent Windows Security Updates. Please visit or direct your customer to the following links to find the new drivers:

This issue has been resolved in Ver.2.11. Please uninstall the previous driver and install Ver.2.11 (September 3, 2024). Additional device drivers will be updated as soon as possible, so please stay tuned.

Problem with Windows Update Programs

Revision: This issue has been resolved in Ver.1.61. Please uninstall Driver ver.1.30 and install ver.1.61. (Aug.30, 2024)

Due to a driver problem associated with a specified Windows update patches, there is a problem with output. We are currently working on fixing the driver, and will gradually resolve the problem starting from August. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you have already installed the Windows update patches, please uninstall the specified Windows update patches. If you have not yet installed it, please do not install it.

The specified Windows update patches are as follows;

  For Windows 11; KB5040442, KB5039212 and KB5039895

  For Windows 10: KB5040427, KB5039211 and KB5039893
