Purex Maintenance and Service
- Maintenance & Service: Primary maintenance is regular filter replacement – the unit’s indicator will signal when to replace filters (except on some Lite models). As a rule of thumb, filters should be replaced at least annually if not prompted sooner. When servicing, power off and open the unit to replace the pre-filter pad and main filter. Always dispose of used filters properly per local regulations (they may contain hazardous contaminants). Keep the internal compartments clean – vacuum with a HEPA vacuum to remove dust without reintroducing particles. Inspect and clean the arm hoses/pipework regularly: check for any splits, blockages or buildup that could impede airflow. The FumeCube’s simple analog models (e.g. Basic units without digital display) have a manual flow knob and LED warning; digital models include a graphic display and will show error codes if service is needed. In case of reduced performance, ensure the blower motor and inlet aren’t obstructed. Jorlink offers support plans and on-site maintenance if deeper service (like motor replacement) is required.
