We need an equivalent to a Organic Vapor HEPA filter from 3M.

Recommendation Filter MPEF-113579

QUESTION: "We have a Purex Alpha 400 Fume Extraction System in our lab and we have it hooked up to our Epilog laser cutter. We have a 30W fiber laser for a 12” x 24” bed. We use it to cut foils and other materials so we have a filter installed in the PUREX. We have had it installed for quite some time and it needs to be replaced. The individual who purchased the filter is no longer with Tesla so I am reaching out to y’all so we can find the best filter for our application. We want something equivalent to a Organic Vapor HEPA filter from 3M. Do y’all have something comparable to this?

Data Sheet for 113579

BSE-PUREX SUGGESTION:

The only HEPA Organic Vapor filter from 3M I know of are the ones that go in a respirator… We do not carry those.

Regarding the laser application, in the use of a smaller Epilog engraving laser, we typically still recommend the Alpha 400 for the Zing or the Fusion Maker 24 if they are working with a larger Epilog Edge/Pro 24 we typically go with a 400i.

In both of these solutions our standard recommendation for a main filter is PN-113579 in most laser engraving operations. There are some substrates or where heavy acrylic use is planned, where we recommend other main filters and in some cases a completely different machine.

For best filter pairing we would need to know the substrates used in their processes.

The data sheet on the standard filter used in the Alpha 400 is attached.
