Filtering Chlorine Bleach - Pur35 w/Filter 113862

Main Filter 110536 for Fume Cube (072155), can it control levels of sodium hypochlorite fumes (chlorine bleach) or dilute sodium hydroxide solutions?

I’m currently using Fume Cube (072155).  I have some questions regarding the pre & main filters.

  1. The main filter 110536 has the designation “HEPA/chemical filter”.
  2. Is this main filter effective for the control of nuisance levels of sodium hypochlorite fumes(i.e. store bought chlorine bleach)?  We are using this bleach, further diluted, as a final rinse and we just want to contain these fumes.  Do you have a substitute that is even better suited for our purpose?
  3. Similar to “a” above but for dilute sodium hydroxide solutions.
  4. The pre and main filters are both white so they do not appear to contain activated carbon.  Do you sell these filters with activated carbon as an option?

Purex currently don’t have a filter for a FumeCube that has the necessary carbon that the chlorine bleach would require; however Pur35 machine with the 113862 will work.  FumeCube with the 110536 main filter, but it won’t be very efficient, and wouldn’t be recommend it.

The filter does contain carbon that has been treated with proprietary chemistry to better help it absorb a variety of chemicals, we call this the Chemical layer.

The user cannot see the contained carbon as there is a pad filter between the carbon and the air equalization plate on their filter.

I have tried to illustrate in this cross section of one of our combined HEPA Chemical filters are made. In the case of a Fume Cube Filter: the top is an air equalization plate, followed by reinforced pleated HEPA, followed by another air equalization plate, then Chemical layer, pad filter and then another air equalization plate at the bottom.
