GCC S400 – Invalid Laser Error Troubleshooting Guide

Issue The GCC LaserPro S400 displays an “Invalid Laser” error.

Resolution

The troubleshooting video indicates that the issue relates to a mismatch in the laser tube settings. The machine’s laser configuration should be checked and corrected to match the installed laser tube.

Step-by-Step Procedure

  1. Confirm the error
    • Verify that the GCC S400 is displaying the “Invalid Laser” error.
  2. Identify the installed laser
    • Confirm the laser tube currently installed in the machine.
    • Note the laser type and wattage before changing any configuration.
  3. Access the laser configuration
    • Follow the procedure shown in the troubleshooting video to access the S400 laser tube configuration/settings.
    • Do not change unrelated machine parameters.
  4. Check the configured laser tube
    • Compare the configured laser tube setting with the laser tube actually installed in the S400.
  5. Correct the mismatch
    • If the selected/configured laser does not match the installed tube, change it to the appropriate setting following the video instructions.
  6. Save the setting
    • Save or apply the corrected laser tube configuration exactly as demonstrated in the video.
  7. Restart the GCC S400
    • Restart the machine after the configuration change.
  8. Check the error
    • Confirm whether the “Invalid Laser” message has cleared.
  9. Test the machine
    • Once the error has cleared, perform an appropriate operational test to confirm that the machine recognizes the installed laser correctly.
